to 11.10 am The Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers plays in Henley Street outside the Birthplace
Strolling players, circus performers and musicians in costume entertain the crowds.
Shakespeare Live ! (groups of travelling players) perform scenes from Shakespeare's plays
in Bridge Street.
10.40 am Distinguished guests leave the Shakespeare Centre to be marshalled in Henley Street outside the Birthplace, for the Visitors’ Procession, where they are joined by pupils from the Girls’
Grammar School and the Stratford High School, who carry banners. Those with flag stations
in Henley Street go directly to their flags.
10.45 am tbc The Scouts and Guides take their places at the flag stations in Bridge Street.
10.45 am tbc The Visitors’ Procession moves from Henley Street, behind the Band of the Corps of
Royal Engineers into Bridge Street and High Street and guests go to their flag stations.
11.00 am Ceremony of unfurling flags together with the banners for the works of Shakespeare
takes place in Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Union Street. Unfurling is signalled
by the fanfare composed by Guy Woolfenden played by the Band of
the Corps of Royal Engineers followed by a roll of drums. Immediately following the
unfurling of the flags, the National Anthem is played.
[There will be Community and School groups but the format has not yet been decided].
11.25 am The Children’s Procession moves off down Bridge Street and is led by the [band to be confirmed]
along Waterside to Holy Trinity Church
11.30 am The Visitors’ Procession reforms in Bridge Street and follows the Band of the Corps of
Royal Engineers via High Street, Chapel Street and Church Street, where, by
tradition, the boys of Shakespeare’s school (King Edward VI Grammar School)
take up the lead through Old Town to Holy Trinity to place flowers on Shakespeare’s
grave.
11.35 am People from the flag stations in Henley Street move forward into Bridge Street to lead the
General Procession to which everyone is invited to join who wishes to lay flowers on
Shakespeare’s grave. This procession follows the City of Coventry Corps of Drums down
Bridge Street, along Waterside to Sheep Street and from there follows Chapel Street,
Church Street and Old Town to reach Holy Trinity Church.
The Shakespeare Morris Men bring up the rear of this procession.
from 11.30 am Shakespeare Live ! presents scenes from (and about) Shakespeare and Strolling players,
circus performers and musicians in costume entertain the crowds in the streets.
1.30 pm Strolling players, circus performers and musicians in costume entertain in the streets including
to 4.00 pm Sheep Street, Henley Street, the Great Garden of New Place, the Theatre Gardens and near
Holy Trinity Church. The Shakespeare Morris Men and many other troupes perform around
the town. It is hoped to stage all the Shakespeare Live scenes from Shakespeare's
plays near the Theatre and in Henley Street.
REUNION CHARITIES.
This year the money raised by our Reunion raffle will be divided between two very important charities, Combat Stress and BLESMA, both Charities, quite understandable, are working flat out to meet the need of our Servicemen and women as well as Veterans.More information can be found on their respective websites:-

As members will know, we raised , with Gift Aid over £750 last year for Help for Heroes. Again many thanks for your generous support, not only by purchasing raffle tickets at the Reunion Dinner but also for the prizes you ( and the Holiday Inn ) donated. If any member not attending the Reunion wishes to purchase raffle tickets please sent your cheque made out to RABA&JL Association to Maureen ( Treasurer ) marked on the rear " Raffle".

FRIDAY. Golf Match on a local course organised by Dave Dufall, please add your name to the booking
form if you wish to partake.
From 1400hrs. Check in at the hotel. A member of the Committee will be in Reception.
18.30hrs – 2130hrs. Carvery Dinner in the Traders Restaurant followed by reminiscing in the Lounge Bar.

0930 Coach’s departs for the National Memorial Arboretum and Stratford upon Avon (Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations )
1530hrs. Arrive back at the Hotel, free time.
1900Hrs for 1930 Hrs Reunion Dinner.
